Well thought-out line concept ensures a significant increase in efficiency in the production of charging technology

GREIPL group produces demanding components and complex systems for high-tech applications for its customers. For almost 15 years we have been supporting Technagon GmbH, a true pioneer in the field of charging technology, in the production of electronic charging controls and even complete charging stations.

After the extremely successful market launch last year, the sales figures forecast by Technagon are now increasing significantly. An increase in output was therefore urgently required. This was an opportunity to completely rethink the production process, especially assembly, and to also break new ground for GREIPL as a manufacturer.

The additional challenge for production process planning: A total of three different product variants must be assembled, wired and tested on one and the same production line. A sophisticated logistics concept and a coordinated material flow ensure that the right components are always available at the right assembly station at the right time.

In addition, a change in order planning should also reduce the lead time from receipt of the order to delivery of the products to a maximum of 15 working days.

"We are currently still in the start-up phase, but the first results are already very promising," explains Stefan Reischl, production manager at GREIPL. "Thanks to the well-thought-out line concept, we were able to achieve a significant increase in efficiency and increase the output in 1-shift assembly operations to up to 120 devices per week.
